At GW PT and Wellness, we understand that getting to a clinic isn’t always easy—or even possible. Whether its mobility issues or a busy schedule traveling to an outpatient clinic may be impractical or inconvenient. That’s why we decided to do things differently by bringing the PT and OT clinic directly to you.
We provide high-quality physical and occupational therapy in the comfort of your home, as well as in assisted living and long-term care facilities. Our focus is true one-on-one care, allowing each session to be personalized, unrushed, and centered entirely on your goals. You’ll also see the same therapist consistently, so there’s no need to repeatedly adjust to new providers—just continuity, trust, and progress.
Our therapists are highly trained, having attended top universities and bringing decades of collective clinical experience to every visit. We take pride in delivering skilled, evidence-based care that helps patients improve function, regain independence, and enhance overall quality of life.
More recently, we identified a growing need for advanced, high-quality wound care in the home and facility setting. In response, we expanded our services to include ultrasound wound therapy using the Arobella® wound therapy system. This innovative, FDA-approved technology allows us to deliver advanced, high-tech wound care conveniently and safely wherever our patients are.

Our Team
At GW PT and Wellness, we believe exceptional care starts with an exceptional team. Founded by Dr. Yakov Gendler, DPT, our practice is built on a collaborative group of highly skilled Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs). Together, we provide comprehensive, concierge-level rehabilitation services—delivered directly to you in the comfort and privacy of your home.
Dr. Gendler earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Touro University in New York City and completed his clinical training at Montefiore/Einstein Medical Center, one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers. With nearly a decade of clinical experience, he is known for providing thoughtful, evidence-based care that is both compassionate and results-driven, always tailored to each individual’s goals and lifestyle. In addition to orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation, Dr. Gendler is trained and specialized in wound care, with advanced experience treating chronic, hard-to-heal wounds.
To support optimal wound healing, Dr. Gendler utilizes the Arobella® Qoustic Wound Therapy System, an FDA-approved, non-contact ultrasound technology designed to help reduce biofilm, stimulate tissue healing, and promote faster wound closure. This allows our team to deliver advanced, high-quality wound care safely and conveniently in the home and facility setting.
